The vision for this remodel was to create a space that paid special attention to the beautiful landscape and backyard environment. We chose to enhance the hillside as part of the design rather than simply a backdrop. Terraced greenery, strategically placed glass windows, layered outdoor seating areas, and the soft curved pool layout were designed to work with the natural setting and views beyond it.
Overview
The remodel included a complete interior and exterior transformation centered around openness, flow, and connection to the surrounding hillside. Highlights include the custom floating staircase with black steel railings and wood treads, oversized marble slab fireplaces and kitchen surfaces, coffered ceilings, and expansive sliding glass doors.
From nearly every room in the home, the outside becomes part of the experience, bringing movement, light, and a stronger sense of connection throughout the space.

Every now and then, you luck up on an honest contractor. Ben is one of those guys. I had a handyman do subpar work on my shed. Ben came out and gave me a lot of great advice — free of charge and without concern of whether or not I was going to hire him. He was extremely helpful and even referred me to his trusted electrician to deal with directly. He also made another call for me to research what I needed to do to make other items up to code. Again, for free. I wish there were more…
